MCPF Assists
Philippine National Police
at Political Rally

The Western Police district called on Motorcycle Philippines Federation to help monitor a political rally held at the Luneta Grandstand on Jjuly 16, 2005. The MCPF membership readily supported the WPD call. Even with only about 30 hours notice at least 200 riders from different clubs showed up to help out. The riders were briefed an hour before and were then assigned to different places around the Luneta area.

MCPF members helped with traffic control and monitored the activity in all areas from Baclaran Paranaque to the Manila City hall. There were no criminal activites as far as MCPF and WPD are aware although both groups combined were very small compared to the thousands of people pouring in from Metro Manila and nieghboring towns to attend the rally in the Luneta area . It was a very peaceful rally with the thousands of people coming just to express their support for President Gloria Arroyo.

MCPF members really enjoyed supporting and helping with law and order while riding around the streets of the Luneta area with the support of the local police. They are looking forward to the next MCPF-WPD activity
