Signs Memorandum of Cooperation
with the
Philippine National Police Western Police District
On July 2, 2005 about 50 Motorcycle club leaders from the Motorcycle Philippines Federation (MCPF) assembled at the Western Police district headquarters in Ermita, Manila to witness the formal signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for Cooperation between the Western Police District represented by it’s chief, Gen Pedro Bulaong and Jojo Medina, Director for Operations for the Motorcycle Philippines Federation and leader of the Philippine Scooter Federation.
The memorandum summarizes cooperaton between the PNP’s Western Police District which now recognizes the MCPF/PSF as one of its civilian organizations responsible for helping them fight against crime in the Manila Area. By monitoring, reporting and assisting the WPD. The group will be thousands of extra eyes and ears for the WPD while o the nation's roads and will immediately report anything usefull to the emergency call number 117 or text WPD<space><message> to 700PIT if they are smart subscribers.
The Motorcycle Philippines Federation is the country’s biggest motorcycle organization with clubs, federations and members all over the Philppines and the rest of the world. The Federation also includes motorcycle manufacturers, dealers, riders rights groups, national racing and training organizations among its members. The Federation's main objective is to promote motorcycling, safe riding and to serve the community by being active in assisting law enforcerment and tourism.
